**THE ROLE**

We are seeking a highly talented and creative Design Consultant to join our Residential Design Team. Reporting to the Design Manager, and working with major clients, this role will support the builder and their clients with all aspects of their tile selections for their new homes.

Predominantly based at our Rochedale Studio, this role is critical in maintaining the link and relationship between clients and customers and provides a significant contribution to business sales performance, and will help support the ongoing success of the Residential Trade Team.

The role will include (but is not limited to):

- Discussing and understanding clients’ preferences and vision to provide design recommendations that align with their goals.
- Recommending products, finishes, materials, and other design elements to enhance clients’ spaces.
- Staying apprised of the latest trends and developments within the interior design industry and making recommendations to help clients stay current.
- Collaborating with design team members to ensure a cohesive and unified approach is delivered to clients.
- Attending industry events, trade shows, and product launches to identify new products to recommend to clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

To be successful in this role you will also:

- Be experienced in selecting and recommending design elements and products, including materials, finishes, têxtiles, and other decorative items
- Have spent time in a customer-facing role
- Possess a strong understanding of current industry trends and developments
- Demonstrate strong research skills, with experience in identifying and evaluating design elements, materials, and finishes.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hold Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field would be highly regarded but not a requirement.
