The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is CSIRO’s national digital health research program, enabling the digital transformation of healthcare to improve services and clinical treatment for Australians and beyond.

We are seeking a Research Technician within the Digital Therapeutics and Care Group (DTaC) at the Australian e-Health Research Centre.

You will contribute to a range of e-Health projects related to the health of all Australians including Indigenous health.

**Your duties will include**:

- Under limited supervision, assist in carrying out research investigations to meet special circumstances or undertake modifications to research methods using digital technologies.
- Undertake activities focused on one or more elements of larger research projects.
- Design data recording and entry systems
- Conduct literature reviews, investigations and inspections in the field, including associated analysis possibly involving statistical or graphics software.
- Perform some non-routine analyses or technology development activities using a range of techniques, often working on a number of parallel and competing tasks.
- Work with discretion to decide on the timing of operations within the work team’s plan and plan ahead to meet experimental and/or project demands.
- Independently test possible solutions to resolve identified problems.
- Engage in stakeholder consultation with research partners and clients and a diverse group of clinicians, engineers, and end users, and performing analyses to derive novel insights for technical design and implementation evaluation.
- Present results in a meaningful format, prepare reports for clients and/or write scientific papers for publication.
- Respond courteously and efficiently to client requests, maintaining clear communication regarding mutual expectations and monitoring client satisfaction.
- Communicate openly, effectively and respectfully with all staff, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO’s reputation.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary, regionally dispersed research team to carry out tasks in support of CSIRO’s scientific objectives.

**Salary**: AU$89,680 - $101,459 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified Term of 1 year, Part-time - 20 hours/fortnight

**To be considered you will need**:
**Essential**
- Under CSIRO policy only those who meet all essential criteria can be appointed._
- Relevant certificate/diploma/bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in Health System Evaluation, Public Health, Primary Health Care or Indigenous Heath Research.
- Experience in undertaking human health research projects - including collection, analysis and reporting of primary and secondary datasets.
- Demonstrated expertise in effective communication and stakeholder engagement, including cross cultural communication with culturally and linguistically diverse and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and/or health organisations.
- High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent the research team effectively internally and externally, including the presentation of research outcomes at national and international conferences.

**Desirable**
- Experience and knowledge of working in partnership with ATSICCHO primary health services, operational health systems or for organisations that deliver health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
