**About the Centre/Service**

Our exceeding service, Paratea Preschool, is located in Frankston South surrounded by untouched bushland. We are a non-profit, community based preschool run by a volunteer parent committee. Since 1974 Paratea has provided a vibrant, flexible and inquisitive educational program to local children. We operate a Bush Kinder program within the Paratea Reserve and embed nature and play based pedagogy/philosophy in our program. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded in our program and we are very proud to have just published our first RAP. **Description**
- Paratea Preschool is looking for a passionate early childhood educator who holds either a Certificate III or Diploma qualification to fulfil a maternity leave position in 2 groups. The two groups can be fulfilled by 1 or 2 educators, please include your preference for hours and groups in your cover letter. The educator position will be in our Nairm (3 year old group) and Biik (3/4 year old group). Employment is under the VECTEA award and will commence starting Term 2 (24th April 2023) until December 2023. Nairm Group attends Monday and Wednesday; 7 hours contact and 2 hours non-contact time. Biik Group attends Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 15 hours contact and 4 hours non
- contact time. Criteria:

- Have experience working in a kindergarten environment
- A genuine passion to create a safe space for children where they feel they belong
- Able to form strong connections with children, families and staff
- Work collaboratively within a team to deliver a child centred program
- Be passionate to connect children with nature, experience with a Bush Kinder Program is an advantage
- Eager to learn and take initiative**Qualifications**
- Required Qualifications:

- Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Qualification
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid Qualification
- Anaphylaxis Training
- Asthma Training
- Mandatory Reporting Certificate
