What’s the job?

We are recruiting for a casual lecturer to teach into the Bachelor of Branded Fashion Design Program. We are looking someone to start in September for our Trimester 3, teaching a 3 hours face to face class per week, which equates to approximately 9 hours of work per week including teaching, marking, preparation, student support etc. We are looking for people to teach in our Ultimo Sydney campus. Most of our classes normally happen during the day Monday - Friday, however we could also look at scheduling some evening classes after 6pm to fit people’s schedules.

You will be responsible for:

- Delivering lectures and workshops on campus and/or online via our Learning Management System
- Maintaining curriculum and course materials
- Grading student work and providing timely, constructive feedback
- Monitoring student progress and well-being, providing support where necessary

Who you are:
We are looking for someone with- A bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant field (or equivalent relevant industry experience)- Preferably previous experience in teaching at higher education level- Experience in commercial production and product development in the fashion industry including sourcing, costing, garment construction, fittings, reviewing samples, CAD development and creating BOMs- Experience creating commercial tech and spec packs for scale production- Experience in sustainable and ethical production practices- A passion for giving back to students
