Our environmental practice helps industries and governments fulfill their responsibilities to the people they support, as well as the planet that support us all. We provide advisory and technical services to enable you to achieve compliance, manage impacts and reduce or even eliminate risks.
Our services help clients anticipate and manage the environmental impact at each stage of the project: planning and obtaining permits for new facilities; decommissioning, clean-up and closure of contaminates sites and surplus operations facilities; restoration for reuse; addressing critical climate - change issues; protection or restoration of habitats and water quality and the preservation of culture resource.

This is a casual part time role (2 - 3 days a week) for approximately 3 months with the potential for longer term employment.
**What will a day in this role look like**:
- Collecting environmental samples including soil, sediment, surface water and groundwater from sites using various environmental sampling techniques.
- Organising and preparing tasks prior to field work
- Office based data management and reporting.
The role includes working amongst a team of experienced environmental professionals and alongside our clients, while learning first-hand from our in-house technical leaders. There will be opportunities to learn and be mentored by a team who are focussed on your career success. **Qualifications**
This position would suit someone wanting to work out in the field who enjoys hands on work and being outdoors. Previous Laboratory and/or field technician experience not required. All on the job training provided
**What are we looking for from you?**
- Physically able to work in the field for extended field programs and collect samples
- Good literacy, including written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy including basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Technically minded, problem solver, good at trouble shooting, Ability to follow instructions and work with mínimal supervision and ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong safety focus
- Ability to complete a negative Police check and obtain National Police Clearance and Defence clearance
- Preferred but not essential requirements for the role include:
- Current driver's licence, 4WD, first aid and CPR training, QLD General Construction Induction (white card).
