**Brite is looking for an experienced catering assistant with barista skills for a diverse cafe all-rounder position. Someone with excellent customer service standards and who is a people's person to join our small cafe team as we gear up to open our new Brite Cafe. Immediate start.**

Brite Café is a dynamic social enterprise, and part of Brite Services, committed to creating empowering employment and training opportunities for people with disability. Nestled in the heart of the Broadmeadows Industrial Park, we aim to establish our new retail café as a place that is not just for exceptional coffee and delicious food, but a symbol of inclusivity and opportunity. This cafe is an addition to our current Brite Cafe (Cafe 1) located at our main site on Belfast Street, Broadmeadows which provides a service to all Brite employees, staff and visitors.

As an integral part of the broader Brite organisation, Brite Café joins our existing social enterprise initiatives, Brite Pak and Brite Plants. We strive to make a positive impact by fostering a supportive environment where we empower our people by investing in their strengths and providing tailored supports, helping them to break down barriers and achieve their true potential.

Brite Cafe blends the art of coffee and great food with a commitment to positive social impact. Brite Café is not just a coffee destination; it's a place where every cup contributes to a brighter future for all.

To be successful in this role, you will need to show:

- a passion for coffee, food and customer service, and motivated to take pride in the great food and coffee you serve
- extensive experience in preparing and cooking quality food in a cafe setting
- high-standard barista skills on a commercial machine or willingness to extend your barista skills
- fast turnaround of orders
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- management of stock levels
- experience following health and safety policies and procedures, legislation and standards
- 2 or more years' experience in similar role
- be ready to jump in and help us open an exciting and thriving new cafe, that also empowers people with disability and builds social inclusion
- working or lived experience with people with disability desirable
