Senior Clinical Registrar

The Senior Clinical Registrar is a mentorship position based in outpatients day chemotherapy and clinical care ward. It affords consolidating skills in clinical haematology including consultative haematology. There is enormous potential to embark on a clinical research program that could lead to a MPhil or PhD. There is an opportunity to provide mentorship to junior medical staff. The position is ideally targeted for a senior trainee or recently completed trainee who seeks to gain experience working within a busy tertiary referral centre and incorporates management of malignant haematology and bone marrow transplant patients. There is no on-call requirement with this role however participation in a weekend roster for a supporting ward round is expected.

The Alfred Hospital is a large tertiary referral centre with an extensive malignant and non-malignant haematology service including allogeneic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, the clinical research unit, statewide haemophilia service and research collaboration with Monash University through the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases.
