**Position Information**:
Bonnyrigg is a Partially Selective High School with 2023 enrolment 1608 students, including 98% from a non-English speaking background, 72 International students and 41 First Nations. The school has exemplary student wellbeing programs and a focus on quality teaching. Learning priorities include literacy, numeracy, HPGE, vocational education and training programs (7 courses) and maximising student engagement through technology. Bonnyrigg High is recognised as a high achieving school in both NAPLAN and top 20 HSC in 2016-20. Bonnyrigg is seen as a top performer in implementing the ‘learning Progressions’ by AITSL and NSW DoE. The school offers a wide range of academic, vocational, sporting, creative and co-curricular experiences. The IA facilities have been completely modernised, all new traditional machinery and enhanced with 3D printers and Milling, Lazer cutter, and programmable devices such as drones and robotic systems.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated ability to lead the collaborative development of effective evidence-based education plans, guide and manage the innovative learning and support team and coordinate the student learning and support officers, to ensure specialist assistance is provided to students with diverse and complex learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs.
- Proven ability to be a visible, accessible leader who possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster successful partnerships with key stakeholders and manage the school’s Nationally Consistent Collection of Data, disability support funding, access requests and transitions programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver high quality professional learning to enhance teacher performance and build the capacity of teachers in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the learning outcomes of students with disability and learning difficulties.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with the school’s executive team and lead initiatives that address school priorities.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
