Seeking an experienced and enthusiastic communications generalist who can manage a busy and diverse workload. One day you might be drafting a media release, the next day gathering and writing content for a project update, and the next going on a video shoot or helping at an engagement pop-up event.

You’ll be a person who can work autonomously, but also collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders when required to help across projects.

**Key accountabilities**:
This role will deliver effective, well-evidenced and targeted community and stakeholder engagement activities, as well as support the accurate and timely delivery of content, materials and programs for infrastructure project communications and engagement. Under limited direction you will:

- Support the delivery of effective, well-evidenced and targeted community and stakeholder engagement activities
- Assist with the planning, production, coordination and implementation of communications materials, campaigns and programs across various infrastructure projects.
- Write, create, edit, curate and publish engaging written, digital and interactive content that always considers the audience first, for a range of ACT Government channels including social media, website and electronic mail.
- Assist in coordinating events, presentations, displays and, when required, support project teams at community engagement activities.
- Assist with reactive media enquiries, producing media materials, organising media briefings and preparing media reporting.
- Work collaboratively across the directorate and government with Communications and Engagement Service, Senior Officers, and Ministers’ Offices to deliver key activities
- Contribute to the evaluation of your projects and insights to inform activity and ongoing improvement by interpreting data and implementing advice especially in relation to emerging communications and digital media opportunities
- Support and participate in best practice communications and engagement response at the Public Information Coordination Centre (PICC) in times of a Territory emergency.

**Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Experience in content creation and planning and implementing communications strategies, including writing, editing and storytelling for different audiences and for different mediums and channels such as video, social media, websites, traditional media and print.
- Good knowledge of and experience planning and delivering contemporary communications, stakeholder and community engagement approaches.
- Experience in planning, producing and shooting video, photos and other digital content whilst managing and growing audience channels.
- Experience in media and reputation management, both reactive and pro-active and producing media materials, organising media briefings and preparing media reporting.
