Join Our Team as a Senior Finance Officer at Pen Underwriting

We're on the lookout for a talented Senior Finance Officer to become a key player in our Finance team.

Your Role:

As a Senior Finance Officer, you'll provide vital financial and operational support to our Finance Manager and CFO. You'll ensure timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting while continuously seeking ways to enhance business processes and maintain compliance with Group Policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyse balances and reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Prepare operational reports, such as receivables and compliance reports
  • Review reconciliations to ensure alignment with business activities
  • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations
  • Support the year-end audit process and liaise with auditors
  • Manage intercompany reporting and reconciliation
  • Assist the finance team with receipting, accounts payable, and credit control

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or a related field is desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis, and reconciliation
  • Excellent administrative and procedural skills
  • Keen attention to detail
