We are proud to introduce an exciting opportunity within Global Retail Brands, Australia's premier specialty homewares retailer, boasting a vast network of 300 stores nationwide. We are actively seeking a dynamic Senior Product Manager to join our team focusing on our new acquired salt&pepper brand.

The Senior Product Manager leads the end-to-end development and procurement of product ranges across the Global Retail Brands business, driving performance through strategic alignment, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with the salt&pepper Brand Manager and reporting to the Head of Merchandise, this role ensures product ranges are developed and delivered to meet the company's sales, margin, and stock objectives, while upholding quality, innovation, and brand integrity.

Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Developers to execute product development initiatives in line with business objectives and critical path timelines.
• Own and drive the product development process in collaboration with the Buying and Planning teams.
• Partner closely with the Brand Manager to ensure products align with seasonal brand direction, market trends, and consumer expectations.
• Oversee the packaging development process in line with product requirements and timelines.
• Manage the quality control process in conjunction with Wise Concepts and ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards
• Oversee testing and compliance with Australian standards, coordinating third-party testing and lab reports as required.
• Oversee range documents including the "5 Steps to a Sale", selling guides, and product training tools in collaboration with the Buyer and Brand Manager

About you:

• Minimum of 4-5 years' experience working as a Product Manager or in a similar buying/product role
• Proven experience in product development, buying, or sourcing within a retail or wholesale environment, preferably in homewares or lifestyle categories.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a small team or mentoring junior staff.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs, margins, and supplier negotiations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PLM systems, and order management tools.

This full-time position offers the opportunity for a passionate Senior Product Manager to join to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic product team and environment, and to help support and contribute towards the growth of Global Retail Brands with the recent acquisition of salt&pepper. This is a very exciting time to join the company as you will be part of a large, experienced and super-fun team, working 5 days in the office on St Kilda Road with access to lots of public transport, cafes near by and with dogs in the office – this is a role not to be missed
