Elanora Heights Community Preschool is a not-for-profit, community-based preschool with over 60 years of service to local families. Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and mature Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a part-time support role for a 12-month maternity leave position. This position does not require programming or planning responsibilities. However, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the documentation of children's learning and share ideas with the team.

The role involves working collaboratively with educators to support the daily operations of the preschool, building respectful relationships with children and families, and actively participating in the life of the preschool.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality education and care
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Contribute ideas and assist with documentation of children's learning
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
  • Use initiative and take responsibility in a team-based setting

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Experience working with children aged 3–5 years
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, maturity, and professionalism
  • Current Working With Children Check (NSW)
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
