As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and operational performance of our organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budget management, accounting, statutory and management financial reporting, and tax compliance. The CFO will work closely with the executive team to develop strategic plans, optimise financial performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monthly management reporting, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts
  2. Taxation compliance, structuring, returns (principally BASs and ITRs)
  3. Deliver continuous improvement, with a focus on automation, outsourcing, and efficiency of staff and reporting systems
  4. Provide financial analysis and oversight to key business projects, including acquisition analysis, due diligence, capital expenditure appraisals, and new business evaluations
  5. Develop tools and enhance systems to support financial and operational decision-making for stakeholders
  6. Ensure regulatory compliance and manage registrations
  7. Implement spending controls in accordance with company policies and procedures
  8. Establish and maintain effective controls across the business, understanding and optimising key performance drivers
  9. Develop and enforce policies and operating procedures
  10. Assist with recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of finance staff

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or CPA, CA preferred
  2. Proven experience as CFO, VP of Finance, or similar in a dynamic environment
  3. Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a high-performing team
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Experience in food manufacturing environments is essential
  6. Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising is preferred
  7. Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to deliver across multiple finance functions. You should be a senior leader capable of executing operational and strategic objectives, contributing significantly to the company's success.
