Overview

The Detail Assistant supports the Merchandising Department to maximize the development and maintenance of product assortments by coordinating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of all SKU attributes and descriptions and assisting the Merchandising Buying team with daily merchandising office functions, samples, order keying and tracking, and planogram setup. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, RMS, Business Objects and internal software is required.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly update and maintenance of Purchase Order Log
  • Daily review of Inventory Management System to research and resolve PO discrepancies, price variances and product quality control issues in collaboration with the distribution center
  • Vendor communications
  • Manage vendor samples and vault integrity including live merchandise from DC
  • Annual sample inventory and DC live merchandise kiosk inventory
  • Key sample purchase orders
  • Update departmental reporting
  • Participate in department trend discussions, ideation of new concepts and creation of trend boards
  • Work on special projects as assigned
Assortment / Inventory Management
  • Manage and facilitate buyer sample process
  • Submit buyer-selected product for advertising needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare product for Executive level meetings
  • Manage the physical inventory process for multi-million dollar buyer locations, including reconciling variances
Collaboration
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal business partners (sample room, DC, MRPC, AP and QA)
  • Support Omnichannel operations by collaborating with the Ecommerce team to ensure all product is added to the website
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant job-related experience
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player, detail oriented
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to work in metal-free environments when required by security policy
  • Ability to work in both office and remote settings as required
