Job DescriptionAs Regional Product Specialist for Infrasys POS, is primarily accountable for ensuring quality, managing the product, providing education, and enhancing the Infrasys Cloud Product Suite and its associated interfaces and modules.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Respond to Product Inquiries: Address all product-related inquiries via email or phone promptly and accurately.
- Support Major Account Team: Provide technical assistance to the Major Account Team as needed.
- Attend MAC Meetings: Participate in MAC meetings from a technical standpoint whenever possible.
- Collaborate with Regional Team: Work closely with the Regional team on products related to Core POS and its affiliated modules.
- Conduct Testing: Test workflows and scenarios when feasible to ensure product functionality.
- Create Technical Documents: Develop technical documents as required for product understanding and support.
- Adhere to Standards: Follow all standards and protocols established by the Senior Regional Product Manager.
- Coordinate with Country Offices: Hold regular meetings with country offices to review enhancement requests.
- Engage with Country Product Managers: Communicate with country product managers bi-weekly to address any queries or concerns.
- Manage Jira Cases: Solution-approve Jira cases for development and monitor case priorities for APAC + ME countries.
- Collect Market Data: Assist in gathering market data from APAC countries for analysis.
- Support Presentations: Assist in creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations for new and enhanced product features.
- Support Development Team: Aid the development team in addressing any queries they may have.
- Handle API and Middleware Queries: Address API and Middleware queries in the absence of other product managers.
- Assist with Roadmap Meetings: Support the Senior Regional Product Manager in organizing and delivering Roadmap Product Meetings when needed.
- Escalate Issues: Assist in escalating product-related issues through appropriate internal channels.
- Review Release Notes: Read the monthly release notes for new Infrasys Versions.
- Announce Product Releases: Inform the APAC + ME Region of monthly product version releases, including quarterly for Server Env releases.
- Discuss Cases with the Global Team: Participate in discussions with the global product team bi-weekly.
- Ensure Compliance: Assist in fulfilling any product compliance requests as needed.
- Provide Product Training: Deliver product training sessions for the region upon request.
- Maintain Documentation: Add product documentation to a central repository for easy access by the APAC Region and update any outdated documents.
- Participate in Technical Calls: Join technical calls with third-party vendors for product integrations when required.
- Facilitate Interface Requests: Facilitate interface requests after obtaining management approval.
- Monitor Licenses: Keep track of test system licenses and ensure their active status.
- Log Development Work: Monitor and log any Free of Cost (FOC) development work with written approval and attach it to the Jira case.
- Manage Jira Application: Assist the Senior Regional Product Manager in managing and maintaining the Jira application.
- Handle Hotfix Requests: Facilitate any product hotfix requests for the region and communicate updates once delivered.
- Reporting to the Senior Regional Product Manager: You may need to follow the instructions promptly for any other work the Senior Regional Product Manager assigns to you.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in product management, product development, or a related role.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience working within the hospitality technology industry, particularly in product implementation or support.
- Proficient in Windows environments for enterprise level projects, with a strong understanding of cloud and on-premise technology solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and initiative in development, support, hardware testing and improvement processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Fast learner with the ability to master various IT solutions and handle system installations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures.
- Willing to be available for on-call support after hours via mobile phone.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally and accommodate flexible work schedule to work with international teams.
- Ability and credibility to work effectively with both our internal and external customers at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised or as a team member of both the local office team and wider company teams.
- Use creative thinking, experiences and knowledge to create new ideas and think 'outside the square.'
