We're looking for a technically skilled, solutions-focused and collaborative Health, Safety & Environment professional to join us as Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (Projects & Environmental)

This role plays a key part in ensuring our major and minor capital works projectsare delivered safely, sustainably, and in full compliance with regulatory and aviation standards. From airfield works to terminal upgrades and landside infrastructure, you'll be at the forefront of embedding HSE excellence across all phases of project delivery.

What you'll bring to the role:

You're an experienced Health, Safety and Environment professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Whether the project is large-scale or more modest in scope, you know how to identify risks early, influence outcomes, and maintain a calm, competent presence on-site and in the boardroom.

• Tertiary qualificationsin Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, WHS, or a related discipline(minimum Diploma level)
• Desirable: Lead Auditor (ISO 14001/45001)and/or Cert IV in Training & Assessment
• In-depth knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Environmental Protection Act, PFAS NEMP, and relevant codes of practice
• Proven technical capability in areas such as PFAS contamination, soil classification, water quality, and waste tracking
• Experience managing high-risk construction activities, such as confined space, working at heights, plant operation, and hot works
• Familiarity with airport environments or similarly regulated operational settings (desirable but not essential)
• Strong skills in reading and acting on technical environmental and safety reports(e.g. soil, water, incident investigations)
• Experience working on both large infrastructure programsand smaller, fast-moving projects
• Confidence in managing both regulatory engagementand contractor compliance
• A high level of organisation and attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to continuous improvement
• Exceptional communication skills – you're approachable, collaborative, and confident engaging across all levels of a business
