Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Rust Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions. As part of a dynamic team, you will work across the stack, utilising Rust for backend development and modern front-end technologies to deliver high performance applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Rust.
  2. Design and implement responsive front-end interfaces with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Typescript).
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  4. Optimise applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  5. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues across the stack.
  6. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to professional engineering standards.
  7. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
  8. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong experience with the Rust programming language.
  2. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Typescript, or similar frameworks.
  3. Familiarity with backend development tools and frameworks (e.g., Actix-web, Axum).
  4. Experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
  5. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, WebSocket protocols, or GraphQL.
  6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Additional Skills:

  1. Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and debugging tools.
  2. Understanding of UI/UX principles for creating user-friendly interfaces.
  3. Exposure to Agile methodologies for software development.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working on performance-critical systems or applications close to hardware.
  2. Familiarity with multithreading and concurrency concepts in Rust.

Soft Skills

  1. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  2. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
  3. Ability to work independently while taking ownership of projects.
