Overview

GenesisCare is seeking a Cancer Care Pharmacist to join our Campbelltown team, working 2 days a week (Monday and Friday) in a permanent role. There may be a requirement to travel to other GenesisCare metro sites in NSW. This role provides specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment at GenesisCare medical oncology centres and involves clinical pharmacy services, dispensary services, clinical trials, and medicines information.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical trials activities such as setting up new trials, dispensing, counselling, completing accountability logs and assessing compliance.
  • Dispense medication, including chemotherapy to patients.
  • Clinical review of treatment orders in MOSAIQ.
  • Submit chemotherapy orders for preparation or supply.
  • Assist with MOSAIQ care plans build and review.
  • Inventory management.
  • Process pharmacy invoices.
  • Provide medication counselling and participate in pre-admission clinics.
  • Act as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to GenesisCare governance activities through Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicines (e.g., drug use evaluation).
  • Ensure that all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • General unrestricted pharmacy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Commitment to patient-focused pharmacy practice.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in oncology/haematology or clinical trials.
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate clinical pharmacy services.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across all sites in the greater Sydney area.
  • Clinical trials experience with a current Good Clinical Practice certificate is highly desirable.
