Overview

Senior Network Engineer role at Peoplebank focusing on Federal Government projects. NV1-cleared candidates are preferred. This is a hybrid role based in Sydney or Canberra.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support robust network solutions across enterprise and carrier-grade environments.
  • Apply deep technical expertise in networking, routing, and security with a focus on large-scale infrastructure and advanced protocols.
Skills & Experience
  • Solid Network Engineering Experience
  • Complex LAN/WAN design and concepts
  • Large-scale installation/implementation of switches and routers and their configuration
  • Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), STP, LACP, QoS, BFD, virtual routing instances and routing policies
  • Implement Firewalls and Security policies
  • Design and deployment of SD-WAN
  • Network gateway experience is advantageous
  • Carrier-grade IP/MPLS/BGP-based networks providing Layer 2 and 3 services
  • Experience writing engineering designs and documentation
Clearance & Credentials
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with an active NV1 security clearance (or higher)
Rate, Location & Engagement
  • Rate: Attractive daily rates or salary packages
  • Location: Sydney or Canberra (Hybrid Work / on-site 3–4 days per week)
  • Engagement: Initial 12-month contract with likely extensions
