Position: Classroom Teacher (Year 5)

Start date: 25 August 2025 or as negotiated with the successful applicant

Employment Status: Full-Time, contract

Salary: $84,077 - $123,101 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale) Applications Close: 27 June 2025

What We Are Looking For

Applications are invited for the position of Classroom Teacher (Year 5) to join the staff of St Anne's Catholic Primary School, Sarina. This is a full-time contract position to commence from 25 August 2025 until 18 January 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position from 2026.

Applications are welcome from anyone who would support the school's ethos and possess the following are encouraged to apply:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
  • Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
  • Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
  • Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton

Mandatory Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
