This is an Occupational Therapist Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

We are seeking a committed and experienced Level 3 Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality clinical care to clients and their families/carers. This dynamic rural generalist position covers both acute care and community settings, with the opportunity for paediatric outreach.
You will be working as a sole OT within our small, close-knit Allied Health team in a supportive community environment. Additional professional links are available to staff based throughout the district.
About The Service
Glen Innes Community Health delivers a wide range of services, including community nursing, child and family health, and mental health. The facility also hosts specialty clinics such as foot care, dietetics, cardiac rehabilitation, speech therapy, and audiometry.
About You
You are a motivated and adaptable Occupational Therapist with strong clinical reasoning, prioritisation, and time management skills. You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, with a talent for adjusting your communication style to suit diverse audiences. You are confident in independently managing complex situations, applying professional and ethical boundaries, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Your ability to thrive in a rural, community-based setting makes you a great fit for this unique and rewarding role.

- Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
