Here at SustainHealth Recruitment, we are currently working with a leading aged care provider based in the Hobart area of Tasmania to find a Clinical Care Manager.

Are you an experienced Clinical Care Manager looking for an opportunity to lead and shape exceptional aged care services in a specialised Dementia Village? SustainHealth are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with strong clinical leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated team of nurses and care support staff. This is a newly created role following a recent restructure, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of residents and the development of the aged care organisation.

About the Role

As the Clinical Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations within the Dementia Village, ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to the residents. You will lead a team of skilled nurses and care staff, providing guidance, support, and clinical expertise to maintain excellence in aged care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the clinical team, including registered nurses, enrolled nurses and care support staff, to deliver exceptional care within a dementia-focused setting.
  • Ensure compliance with all aged care standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining best-practice clinical governance.
  • Monitor and assess resident care plans, ensuring individualised, person-centered care approaches.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of care services.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development.
  • Oversee clinical risk management, incident reporting, and infection control measures.
  • Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic care for residents.
  • Implement innovative dementia care strategies to support resident well-being and engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate and experienced clinical leader with strong knowledge and expertise in dementia care. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and a commitment to quality aged care.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
  • Proven experience in a clinical leadership role within residential aged care.
  • Strong clinical skills with expertise in dementia care and aged care standards.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes, clinical governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in clinical care services.
  • Passionate about delivering person-centered care in a dementia-specific environment.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care, Dementia Care, or relevant field.
  • Previous experience working in specialised dementia care or similar setting.
