About the role

Communication & Engagement Specialist – Fixed Term role

The Communication and Engagement Specialist is key in supporting the delivery of Retail Transformation's communication strategy, both internally within the program as well as across impacted stakeholder groups. This role requires you to tell compelling stories, craft engaging visual and written content, and take accountability for critical communication channels. Collaboration with various internal teams, vendors and agencies is fundamental in this role to ensure consistent messaging.

About the role:

  • Partnering with other members of the RT program to understand communication requirements and context, whilst driving clarity and consistency of the messaging for various audience groups.

  • Partnering with the RT Change team, internal Communication teams and external vendors to deliver timely change communications in relation to the RT program to internal audiences.

  • Support the delivery against integrated communication plans to execute on awareness campaigns and program announcements.

  • Support the planning and running of program engagement events such as townhalls and showcases.

  • Develop engaging communication campaign assets such as briefing toolkits, leader message scripting, high-quality internal articles and videos.

  • Monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the communication.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, PR, journalism, or related field, with at least four years' experience in content roles within corporate or agency settings.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective change communication strategies aligned with large organizational goals.

  • Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to craft persuasive narratives and simplify complex messages for diverse audiences.

  • Skilled in producing engaging video content and proficient in graphic design, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite highly regarded.

  • High-level skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, with professional writing and editing experience considered an asset.
