What the Role Is All About- Work under the Mortgage Choice brand as our Home Loan Specialist/Mortgage Broker and help look after our new and existing customers throughout all phases of their home loan life cycle to find the right home loan option.
- Possess a strong sales acumen to convert leads and referrals to residential loan applications.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience during the home loan process while navigating the journey.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a timely and accurate manner, responding to the needs of customers throughout all stages of the lending cycle.
- Reach expected settlement targets while ensuring a high customer feedback rating.
- Seek out additional product sales opportunities from clients (eg. asset finance, personal finance, commercial lending and general insurance referral opportunities for business partners).
- Keep up to date with administration needs (eg. written documentation to Mortgage Choice standards and industry compliance, and ensuring lender application forms and documentary evidence are accurately correlated).
- Follow the Franchise Operations System (FOS) as detailed in the Mortgage Choice Operations Manual and online information center, particularly regarding responsible lending and privacy obligations.
- Ensure ongoing development including Lender accreditation sessions, maintaining CPD score, and keeping up-to-date knowledge of lenders' products, policies and service levels.
- Use problem-solving skills and product knowledge to answer customer queries and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent professional presentation and communication, with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Home Lending / Mortgage or Credit products is essential with a minimum 3 years of current home loan lending experience in a sales-based environment.
- Proven track record in achieving sales results and business development skills.
- Confident conducting home loan health checks.
- Comfortable making calls to existing or new customers and engaging in cold-calling marketing activities.
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking / MFAA or FBAA current accreditation would be an advantage.
- Thorough, precise and pride in all aspects of the role.
- Able to adapt to and learn changes in technology and processes.
- While there is no weekend work, flexibility is required should a customer seek an after-hours call.
