The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for a Guidance and Appeals Panel Support Officer, to join our collaborative and supportive team.
This ongoing hybrid position can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth or Darwin.
Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS4 - $76,887 – 83,480 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

The Guidance and Appeals Panel (GAP), as part of the Administrative Review Tribunal, plays a crucial role in the Australian legal landscape, providing a process for individuals and organisations to seek an independent review of decisions made under a wide range of Commonwealth laws.

About the opportunity:
Reporting to the GAP Senior Support Officer, the GAP Support Officer is part of a small, geographically dispersed team who provide administrative and case management support to the GAP and GAP Registrar.
About you:
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and who is adaptable and resilient to change. You will have a strong desire to learn new processes and it is critical that the successful candidate has exceptional attention to detail skills.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed liaison and interpersonal skills, including an ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities effectively.
- Well-developed case management and editing skills
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of, the ART's legislative and policy framework, caseload and operations, particularly those relating to the Guidance and Appeals Panel.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities, OR relevant experience in a similar work environment, OR subject-matter expertise related to one or more of the ART's jurisdictions.
