Due to a member of the team embarking on a period of maternity leave, a rare and fantastic opportunity has opened up in the JCT600 People team for a People and Projects Business Partner.
Working as part of a talented people team, your role will be a rich mix of business partnering and project work, with a focus on colleague wellbeing.
A great opportunity to develop personally and professionally, you'll act as a trusted advisor to your business leaders, analysing data and asking the right questions, you will act as a coach – providing both challenge and advice - to optimise the performance of their people by making our colleague experience ambitions a reality.
Reporting into the Group People Director, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact with a successful family business that is genuinely focussed on supporting our people, while offering you a supportive, and fun working environment where you will thrive
Location: The role can be located in the following areas across Yorkshire: Leeds/ Bradford/ Doncaster/ Wakefield/ Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing proactive business partnering support to your business areas, developing a deep understanding of their business performance and challenges. Using these insights to develop people plans for each of your areas to help the business move forward.
- Driving the JCT600 absence and wellbeing agenda across the business. Placing equal emphasis on proactive and reactive support you will create the conditions for success for our colleagues.
- Supporting and coaching line managers in all core aspects of the people agenda including talent & succession, resource planning, recruitment, performance management, colleague engagement and organisational change.
- Working with your Colleague Relations Advisor you will deliver the highest level of colleague experience and HR advice to managers within your business areas. Providing commercially sound ER related advice and key learnings to senior leaders.
- You will review our absence policy and procedures and supporting leadership training to create the best conditions for our colleagues to thrive.
- You will also have the opportunity to lead on key projects to support us in delivering the optimum colleague experience for our teams.
- Proven experience in generalist Human Resources including Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Recruitment, Performance Management, Engagement.
- A genuine passion for all things wellbeing related, with experience to back this up.
- An up to date and solid understanding of HR best practice across the complete colleague life cycle.
- CIPD level 7 qualification, (or equivalent qualification through suitable experience) is desirable
- A strong sense of teamwork and the ability to work independently when needed, with the ability to quickly build strong and effective relationships.
- A straightforward, down to earth approach with all colleagues and the ability to listen well.
- A compassionate yet commercial approach, with a strive to go above and beyond.
- A driving license free from excessive penalties.
