Senior Mental Health Clinician (Emergency Department) - Acute Care Team role at Mackay Hospital and Health Service. The Acute Care Team at Mackay Base Hospital seeks a Senior Mental Health Clinician (Senior Occupational Therapist or Senior Psychologist or Senior Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Consultant) to join on a permanent basis.
Role detailsThe position is based in Mackay Emergency Department as part of the Acute Care Team. It provides advanced level intake/triage, assessment and crisis management functions. The role works a varied roster 7 days a week with RDO accrual, including morning and afternoon shifts and potential night shifts in the future.

Your opportunityYou will work in Mackay as part of the Acute Care Team to deliver advanced level intake/triage, assessment and crisis management within the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team.
About The TeamThe Acute Care Team is the first point of contact to public mental health services 24/7. The team undertakes triage and may facilitate referral to a more appropriate internal or external service (e.g., community mental health, alcohol and drug services, or primary health care).
