Lead by an experienced management team, they have reached a critical scale where they need to establish an FP&A function to lead commercial support across the company.

About the Role

  • Establish and lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth (including longer term hiring a team)
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, risk management, and investment decisions including due diligence on bolt-on acquisitions as they arise
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Optimise and support the organisation's ERP systems and financial tools
  • Strategic Planning, including regular communication with business unit leaders to form forecast/budget assumptions and concise summary reporting for senior management.
  • Support new growth initiatives through business case and ROI analysis, tracking of progress against initiatives, and hindsight of results and learnings
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to help drive business strategy through ad-hoc modeling and analysis
  • Advance current processes through technology, automation, and process improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CA
  • Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis expertise
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing business with multiple sites across Australia
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, able to multi-task and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross functionally in a dynamic environment
  • Expertise in applying a broad range of analytical techniques to identify business issues, risks and opportunities
  • Experience in extracting insights from large amounts / disparate sources of data
  • Ability to assist non-financial partners in interpreting complex analyses
