JOB TITLE: Senior Software Developer in Sydney

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role involves developing and maintaining an in-house application used for managing Properties and Facilities. The application serves over 5,000 users across Australia and New Zealand, handling work for various high-profile customers.

The primary focus is on web and app development/maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with business representatives to interpret requirements, conduct research, and propose suitable system solutions.
  2. Performing GAP analysis to identify limitations and proposing the best To-Be solutions to meet customer needs.
  3. Developing software solutions and coding according to design specifications, technical requirements, and standards.
  4. Handling complex requirements and providing effective, timely solutions.
  5. Conducting system analysis, solution design, configuration, and development following quality standards.
  6. Debugging, diagnosing, and testing to ensure solutions meet specifications.
  7. Preparing technical proposals, developing prototypes, and demonstrating solutions to customers.
  8. Facilitating meetings to gather and analyze client needs.
  9. Assisting offshore teams in prioritizing development tasks and coordinating with other teams.
  10. Working closely with development and operations teams to ensure application performance meets expectations.
  11. Researching root causes of issues and recommending corrections.
  12. Providing training to customers and team members as part of knowledge transfer programs.
  13. Coordinating and communicating within the team and with clients.
  14. Mentoring and guiding team members.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 8+ years of experience in native mobile app development and related technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Web and Mobile application development using C#, Azure, SharePoint online, Xamarin, Xcode (Swift and Objective-C).
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, Knockout JS, React JS, Angular, and experience with Apple provisioning profiles and developer certificates.
  • Experience in Azure deployments and monitoring, including SharePoint online.
  • Nice to have knowledge of containers (Docker, Azure, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in building Azure native enterprise applications and migrating applications to Azure.
  • Good knowledge of TFS, GIT, Visual Studio 2019, SQL Server, and Azure storage.
  • Understanding of SharePoint Administration for supporting on-premises environments.
