Public Sector People is partnering with a local council to find a passionate Community Engagement Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

Do you have a passion for community engagement and a desire to make a real difference?

In This Role, You Will

  • Assist with the execution of a major council campaign.
  • Prepare e-newsletters, promotional material and collateral.
  • Schedule and facilitate events such as Pop-Up community engagement sessions.
  • Support implementation of community engagement plans and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

We are looking for someone with:
  • A tertiary qualification in public relations, social science, communications or a relevant field (or equivalent working experience)
  • Experience in developing and implementing Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans
  • A proven track record of monitoring and evaluating engagement outcomes to draw valuable insights
  • Experience working within local government and IAP2 certificate is highly desirable
