About The Role

Are you an experienced software developer with a passion for innovation and excellence? At Sentral, we empower educators with the tools they need to deliver great learning outcomes. As a Software Developer, you'll play a key role in evolving our product suite—designing, building, and improving applications used by thousands of schools across the country. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that takes ownership from idea to delivery, help shape the future of our products, work with stakeholders, and continuously improve software delivery.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and implementing product enhancements in a collaborative, agile team.
  • Embedding quality into everything you build—proactively maintaining and improving existing features.
  • Staying current with development practices and technology trends to keep products ahead of the curve.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure customer needs are met with market-fit solutions.
  • Supporting a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Salary

The salary for this role is $120,000 per annum + superannuation.

About You

We're looking for a teammate who will stand by our values and bring them to life. A brand ambassador who collaborates, partners and stands with us. You will bring:

  • 3+ years commercial experience in software development;
  • Solid experience with PHP, JavaScript, Angular, and MySQL;
  • Strong knowledge of software development patterns (OOP, MVC, etc.);
  • A working understanding of agile methodologies and iterative delivery;
  • Confidence collaborating across departments and communicating technical ideas clearly;
  • A curious mindset and drive to stay on top of emerging tech trends;
  • Organised, thoughtful, and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications

Please note that you must have:

  • Full work rights in Australia
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check
