About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our diverse team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver supports in partnership with families to help them achieve their goals using evidence-informed best practice.
- Use assessments, observations, and understanding of child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family.
- Empower families, caregivers, and professionals to build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives using coaching skills.
- Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in settings and activities they choose.
- Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system.
- Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
- Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood/Education.
- Expert knowledge in child development and ability to identify developmental issues.
- Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
