As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our customers' equipment, ensuring their operations run smoothly. Your expertise will help us build long-term partnerships and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.
Your Responsibilities- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment.
- Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts, time, and fluids used.
- Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
- Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities.
- Understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Manage time effectively and stay organized.
- Process paperwork accurately, including technical, service, and warranty reports.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent).
- Dual trade or experience in air-conditioning and/or auto electrical work is highly regarded.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service focus and engaging work approach.
- Solid electrical and IT skills.
- Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work.
- Possession of relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., High Risk Work Licence-Forklift Licence) is highly regarded.
