Assistant Project Manager – Retail Fit outs
We are a proudly independent, family-owned business and one of Australia's leading alcohol retailers. We offer a wide portfolio of premium beer, wine, and spirits across the hospitality and retail sectors. As we continue to expand our retail footprint, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support various retail fit-out projects.
In this role, you'll assist with the planning and execution of major projects from new store openings to refurbishments. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, store teams, and external partners, you'll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with managing end-to-end delivery of retail projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and performance trackers
- Oversee supplier engagement, procurement coordination, and execution of product activations
- Drive new store openings and refurbishments, from concept through to completion
- Join stakeholder meetings and provide clear updates, agendas, and action plans
- Manage cost tracking, risk assessments, and project performance metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between retail, operations, marketing, and supply chain teams
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with safety and quality standards
- A degree or qualification in Project Management, Business, Retail Operations, or a related field (Preferred but not required)
- 2–5 years of project management experience (retail preferably)
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills
- A solutions-focused mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in project planning tools and reporting software (advantageous)
