About The Opportunity
Working closely with the Lifestyle team, the Bus Driver is responsible for providing driving services for residents, ensuring safe and comfortable transport to local areas. Your day will involve driving the bus, assisting residents of differing abilities on and off the bus, maintaining proper records and logs, and cleaning the bus as required. We seek someone who is a good problem solver, uses initiative, and demonstrates excellent presentation and customer service at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the following:
- A current Victorian driving licence (LR/MR/HR)
- A current Driver Certificate (Apply For Your Driver Accreditation | Safe Transport Victoria)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and medical history check
- Australian Work Rights
- Experience driving a bus is essential
- Experience in aged care or community work is preferable
- Manual handling experience
- Safe driving record
- Immunisation Record - COVID mandatory
- Availability and reliability to commit to required shifts
- Effective communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Strong passion for working with the elderly
The successful applicants must complete a National Police Check, provide proof of Flu & COVID-19 Vaccination, and possibly complete an NDIS Worker Screen.
