Sales Representative (Eyre Peninsula/Whyalla)

For over 20 years, Bidfood has provided quality ingredients to the foodservice and catering industry in Australia. With 50+ locations and a team over 2,300 nationwide, Bidfood is recognised as one of the country's leading distributors to the industry. An opportunity exists for a regional Sales Representative based in, or, around Port Lincoln, with our Foodservice Branch located in Gillman.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for the growth of sales to new and existing customer bases within the region and the development of long-term business relationships. The successful applicant will have a passion and understanding of the Foodservice industry. Training on our in-house systems will be provided.

Duties:

  • Maintain an existing customer base whilst focusing on new business growth
  • Achieve sales KPI's and meet quarterly targets
  • Develop new business and product opportunities to increase sales
  • Create and maintain customer pricing and margins
  • Identify, develop and manage new areas of growth
  • Work co-operatively and competitively within a busy sales team environment

Key Skills and Experience:

  • SA Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Influenza and Covid Vaccinations
  • Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills
  • Proven sales experience in managing customer accounts and growing business
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad customer base
  • Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously
  • Aptitude for working with computers, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
  • Professional personal presentation
