This is a temporarily funded position until 28 December 2025 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.

We have a Permanent Full Time position and Temporary Part Time 14 hours per week position available until 28 December 2025.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the Aged Care Assessment Team, you will serve as a professional role model and advocate for clients, showcasing your ability to enact change and provide effective clinical leadership. In this autonomous role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive assessments and coordinate care for clients seeking access to Australian Government-funded aged care services.

You will support and supervise less experienced assessors, ensuring adherence to the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia's Standards of Practice while fostering professional development. Your key responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments using My Aged Care, providing referrals to Commonwealth-funded services, and offering vital information to clients and their carers.

A Little About Us.

Bulli Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, provides inpatient, outpatient and allied health services, as well as the Urgent Care Centre, for the northern Illawarra. The Urgent Care Centre provides treatment for minor injury and illness. The nurse-led model of care enables patients to be seen and assessed by specialist nurses who, in consultation with medical teams, deliver treatment and management plans for patients.
