About Us

JHK Legal is a reputable law firm committed to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. We are currently seeking a versatile Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic team. If you are a proactive and dedicated team player with a background working in a legal environment, we would love to hear from you.

Position Overview

As an Accounts Clerk at JHK Legal, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations within our law firm. You will work with legal practitioners, staff and clients to ensure accurate and timely management of financial transactions, billing processes and compliance with legal accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the trust account in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Bank account and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Accounts payable and receivable including debtor management.
  • Generate and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain the accounts inbox by actioning queries promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications and Attributes

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a law firm or legal environment
  • Familiarity with legal billing software
  • Strong understanding of legal accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with legal practitioners, staff, and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
