Our Vacationer Program

As a William Buck Vacationer, you will experience first-hand how your university studies translate into a career path. Our program will give you a taste what you can expect as a professional within an accounting and advisory firm by being involved in real-world work and projects, learning as much as possible and leaving our program excited about the future.

What does the William Buck Vacationer Program offer?

  • 5+ weeks on-the-job and structured learning opportunities.
  • An insight into daily life at a mid-tier firm, our clients and our people.
  • Support from day one with a dedicated buddy and manager.
  • Exposure to a wide range of client engagements.
  • Social events and networking opportunities – it's not all work
  • The first chance at being offered a Graduate position starting the following year.
We are currently seeking vacationers to join our Business Advisory team in January 2026.

Our Business Advisory teams assist clients with compliance obligations, such as tax returns, financial statements, cash flow forecasting, and self-managed super funds, which is Australia's fastest-growing investment method.
Business Advisory Accountants have a real opportunity to change the lives of our clients and their businesses through developing comprehensive strategic plans that target each stage of the client's business' lifecycle and identify business opportunities.

What do I need to be successful?
  • Eagerness to learn as much as possible and annoy our managers with endless questions
  • A genuine interest in a career within accounting and advisory.
  • Be in your penultimate year of study.
  • A positive outlook and a willingness to make the most out of each day.
  • Be studying for a degree in either accounting or finance.
What happens next?

  2. Video Interview & Online Assessment with our Early Careers Advisor, Evelyn.
  3. Face-to-face Interview: You will be invited to interview with team members from the division you applied to.
  4. Offer: You become a William Buck Vacationer
