Join our Cloud & Engineering team as an Azure Solution Architect and Tech Lead. This role offers a chance to fulfill your career ambitions while shaping Australia's digital future. We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect and Tech Lead who excels in tackling challenging business issues. What will your day at Deloitte look like?
  • Technical leadership: Provide guidance to development teams. This includes performing code reviews, specification reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and meeting all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Client interaction and collaboration: Serve as the primary contact for clients and key stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Requirement analysis and solution design: Collaborate with clients and our broader programme team to understand solution requirements. Architect distributed applications on Azure to meet these requirements.
  • Implementation and testing: Undertake hands-on implementation of cloud native and modern integration solutions and conducting robust integration testing.
  • Troubleshooting and optimization: Provide expert assistance in troubleshooting technical issues, optimising performance, and ensuring security and compliance of cloud solutions.
  • Contribute to the broader Cloud & Engineering practice: Beyond your project commitments, we encourage our tech leads to contribute to the broader engineering community. This could be through knowledge sharing, documenting best practices, developing internal accelerators, scoping and solutioning for new engagement opportunities, and more.

  • Desirable: Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Desirable: Project financial oversight.
Technical skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 2 years of experience delivering distributed solutions on Azure.
  • Ability to design and build API-based and distributed applications on Azure.
  • Solid experience delivering enterprise-grade and secure solutions on Azure utilising services such as API Management, App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Container Apps, AKS, etc.
  • Expertise with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar source control and CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as Azure Bicep and/or Terraform, and scripting with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Expertise in implementing observability best practices with tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Desirable: familiarity with Azure networking.
  • Desirable: Azure and relevant professional certifications.
