We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Newcastle team. As our client portfolio grows across the resources, energy and industrial sectors, this position will help support and expand our engineering and design capabilities. This a great opportunity for a talented and passionate Senior Civil Engineer to be part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Our civil and hydrology teams deliver a full suite of civil services including bulk earthworks design, roadwork design, stormwater design, utility services design, traffic engineering, rail and heavy haul rail engineering, and contract management. We specialise in optimising bulk earthworks and provide design, documentation, and construction support services on all aspects of road infrastructure.

Deliver well-presented and compliant design deliverables using Agilitus systems and procedures. Provide training on 12D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation to Junior Engineers, explaining their differences and uses. Offer technical support and guidance to Graduate Engineers and Engineers on projects. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and clients. Ensure project delivery meets client standards, Australian Standards, and regulations within budget and timeframe constraints.

Responsibilities

To guide, advise and develop less experience professionals when delegating work.
Perform complex Civil design tasks with minimal supervision.
Be confident to take the lead in providing the technical output of low risks proposals

Here's what you'll need

Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil)
Proven abilities to perform complex standard technical activities.
Ability to use all engineering designs efficiently and ability to train other employees how to use them effectively.
