The Role

The Primary objective of the Production Supervisor – Fixed Plant is monitoring and leading the day-to-day work carried out by the Kunwarara Shift Production Operators. This role encompasses the production of Magnesia products and ensuring production targets are met, whilst complying with all relevant company safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and systems.

The Role (operational focus)

The Production Supervisor – Fixed Plant will ensure compliance with QMAG's EHS policies while actively promoting safety leadership across the business. Oversee daily operations, personnel, and equipment to meet production, safety, quality, and housekeeping goals at Kunwarara. Support training and development needs, maintain a clean work environment, and contribute to continuous improvement. Collaborate effectively with other departments, assist team members and trades personnel, and carry out tasks as directed by leadership. Provide guidance and feedback to the shift team, fostering problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution, while ensuring training plans are in place and executed.

The Requirements

We are looking for people with the following:

  • S1, S2, S3 and G2 Qualifications
  • ICAM Lead Investigator (desirable)
  • Heavy Media experience recommended
  • Effectively perform all statutory and company activities, with consideration to health & safety, time management, problem solving and communication
  • Excellent oral and communication skills combined with a team approach and the ability to be self-sufficient, whilst maintaining a high standard in the quality of work produced
  • An ability to meet the requirements of the company with respect to environmental, health and safety, and quality systems
  • Acute time management and organisational skills
  • Medium level computer literacy in a variety of software packages, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite
