What You'll Be Doing: As a Support Worker, you will assist clients in living fulfilling lives—helping with daily tasks, engaging in community activities, and trying new experiences. You may work independently or as part of a team, making a meaningful impact.
You should be flexible with shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, sleepovers, and active overnights. Shifts will be based at two shared living homes in Tweed Heads.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting clients in achieving daily goals such as cooking, cleaning, and menu planning.
- Providing personal care and assisting with medication management.
- Encouraging clients to participate in activities and connect with their community.
- Supporting clients in following behavior plans using positive reinforcement.
- Communicating updates to families about client progress.
About You: You are passionate, energetic, and creative, with empathy, resilience, and a team-oriented attitude. Being organized and innovative is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the disability sector.
- Studying or completed a Cert III or higher in Community Services.
- Healthcare experience is a bonus.
- Comfortable providing personal care.
- A caring attitude and positive outlook.
