We are seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Geotechnical Engineering team.

About Us

Geoscience Ireland is a not-for-profit industry association that promotes the interests of its member companies, which are leading providers of geoscience and related services in Ireland.

Our mission is to promote the Irish geoscience sector nationally and internationally, and to facilitate collaboration and innovation among our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a wide range of projects including mining and resources, dams, roads, rail, civil and industrial.
  • Build on our strong business relationships with clients and identify/develop new opportunities.
  • Contribute to a well-respected team and contribute to the culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide technical oversight, review and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Undertake geotechnical analyses on stand-alone projects and as part of larger multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertake engineering judgement, interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement best practice solutions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' consulting experience with tertiary qualifications in engineering or geology.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget.
  • Proven Business Development ability shown from winning new work and building long term relationships with clients.
  • Developed project management skills.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills and excellent technical ability.
  • Enjoy passing on your knowledge and mentoring younger staff.
