We are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager, who will be responsible for NSW and ACT Territory growth and expansion of direct sales, profit margins & service attachment, upholding positioning and driving product adoption through strategic and workflow solution selling across all product lines, apart from centrifugation and clinical flow cytometry.

This position is part of the Life Sciences ANZ Commercial Team, located in Sydney and will be fully remote, with access to head office as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key stakeholders, including scientists, procurement, senior management and C-suite executives across all life sciences customer segments.

  • Develop and implement account strategies & plans, designed to differentiate Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, achieve order, revenue and margin projections, increasing market share across all product lines.

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com with accurate monthly forecasting for the territory and rigorous funnel management

  • Track competitive market share, win/loss data, fully understanding competitive selling strategies.

  • Provide creative contents approach strategies to work with Sales team members, Marketing communications personnel for existing products and new product launches.

  • Represent the organization in customer negotiations, purchasing agreements, and CDA/NDAs, trade shows, seminars, conferences and other official occasions and lead customer facing Business Reviews.

The essential requirements for the job include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences subject area.

  • Minimum of 3 years strategic field sales experience selling hardware into the life science industry.

  • Proven ability to build long term effective relationships with key stakeholders and opinion leaders with demonstrated initiative and personal accountability to meet work demands.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving attitude and solid business acumen with an ability to respond to changing requirements dictated by market situation and/or company goals.

  • High-level presentation skills: able to present complex ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to travel regionally/internationally 25% of the time to required team and customer meetings, including overnight stays.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous experience in managing the NSW/ACT territory in Life Sciences across all or most of academia, biopharma, drug discovery, cell therapy, diagnostics, government, food and dairy, and future sciences.

  • Previous exposure to any but not limited to flow cytometry, molecular biology or automated liquid handling,

  • Previous experience in one of more of key account management, technical selling, applications support or marketing.
