The Firm

A leading Australian corporate law firm with offices across Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra. The firm offers a dynamic, friendly, and professional work environment. Its client-focused and commercially minded approach is a key driver of its ongoing success.

The role

The team is currently seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 2–5 years post-admission experience (PAE) to join its corporate team in Sydney. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced and respected Partners in a team that specialises in:

• Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
• Equity and debt capital markets
• Joint ventures
• Corporate governance
• Restructures
• General commercial and corporate contracts

About you

The ideal candidate will:

• Have solid experience and exposure to M&A transactions and a strong background in Corporate Advisory/M&A, preferably with a mid-market focus developed at a mid to top-tier firm;
• Be capable of managing M&A transactions proactively and autonomously;
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, including mentoring junior lawyers and collaborating with other specialist practice areas;
• Possess experience in conducting legal due diligence and drafting due diligence reports;
• Be client-focused, with excellent relationship-building and communication abilities;
• Show a clear understanding of clients' commercial objectives and offer practical legal solutions;
• Display excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, supported by strong academic results;
