About the Role

The Project Scheduler will create, update, and coordinate project schedules using Microsoft Project (Online). They will work closely with project team leaders to build, evaluate, and optimise project schedules.

This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, technical, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical background, bringing project management and technical expertise to be built upon.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the project team to develop, maintain, and manage the project schedule.
  • Participate in regular project team meetings across multiple projects.
  • Ensure consistent methodology in scheduling and forecasting.
  • Prepare spend curves and cash-flow forecasts during the project life cycle.
  • Assist or lead in creating comprehensive schedule submissions.
  • Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, and milestones.
  • Provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Update PWA Centres using Project and Resources Data.
Scenario Analysis and Decision Support
  • Define an appropriate WBS in line with the adopted project development and delivery strategy.
  • Monitor and control the project through its phases.
  • Manage interface between contracts.
  • Maximise efficiency of the project strategy with respect to cost, time, and contingency.
  • Risk and opportunity management.
Execution Stage
  • Update the schedule and compare actual work against the baseline program.
  • Review vendor, sub-contractor, and consultant schedule submittals.
  • Identify and report variances, and regularly update the schedule.
  • Facilitate identification of opportunities to accelerate completion or measures to avoid delays.
  • Assist in reviewing the schedule and status of plans during all phases.
  • Report on project statuses, trends, forecasts, and cash-flow.
  • Report on project contingency, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in project scheduling.
  • Experience in project planning/scheduling within the Electrical industry.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, preferably MS Project, and/or Primavera P6.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Online, PWA, and Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and database applications.
  • An understanding of critical path methodology.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Certification in Project Management is helpful.
