We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our culinary vision and deliver an exceptional dining experience at The Palomar, a renowned restaurant within our hotel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting an extraordinary food program in collaboration with the Studio Paskin culinary team.

About the Role
  • Oversight of all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and maintaining the highest culinary standards.
  • Development, design, and refinement of the restaurant's menu, balancing creativity, seasonality, and guest preferences while aligning with the brand's vision.
  • Maintenance of consistent quality in food preparation, presentation, and taste, ensuring all dishes meet the restaurant's high standards.
  • Supervision, training, and mentoring of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards and food safety practices.
  • Monitoring of stock levels, placement of orders for supplies, and management of food costs, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.
  • Collaboration with the Restaurant Manager and other departments to ensure seamless service and the overall guest experience.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role (Sous Chef, Head Chef, etc.) within premium or luxury establishments.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a diverse kitchen team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Passion for food and a creative approach to designing menus and presenting dishes.
  • Strong focus on quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Experience managing kitchen budgets, controlling food costs, and reducing waste.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with front-of-house staff and other departments.
