Overview

BaptistCare is seeking a Care Worker to support clients in Canberra, ACT, Australia as part of the At Home team, delivering quality complex care and support to clients in their own homes. You will assist with a range of tasks to help clients live their best possible lives and build genuine connections with them.

Responsibilities
  • Support clients in their homes with daily activities and care needs (e.g., household tasks, personal care, mobility, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance, and transportation as required).
  • Develop genuine connections with clients and promote their independence and quality of life.
  • Work a minimum of 4 days per week (Monday to Friday); some weekend shifts may be available.
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development to enhance care delivery.
  • Maintain client care plans and communicate with your supervisor and care team.

What we need from you
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with Third Party Property Damage Insurance for client transport
  • Strong communication, resilience and patience
  • Proficiency with smartphone technology, apps and email
