Born out of Torquay, VIC in the early 2000s with nothing but a dream to design and deliver a collection of affordable, high-quality garments not yet met by the market, Ghanda Clothing has quickly become a household name, as the largest 100% Australian-owned and operated clothing brand, with over 100 locations across the nation.

About you

We are searching for an organised, enthusiastic and talented senior fashion designer to join our team. This role is suitable for experienced designers and will include responsibility for creating amazing Ghanda ranges, as well as placement and yardage prints. This is a varied role where you will learn many aspects of the business. The desired candidate will have the ability to create designs from briefs efficiently and have the creative ability to contribute and drive our junior designers.

A day in the life

As a FASHION DESIGNER you will be responsible for:

  • Garment CAD sketching & tech pack creation
  • Range board creation and upkeep
  • Packaging and label design for apparel and accessories
  • Apparel and accessories design concepts and ideas
  • Contribute to trend research
  • General filing and sample upkeep

An ideal addition to the #GhandaGang will have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications & experience within the fashion & surf industry
  • A strong sense of the surf lifestyle
  • An exceptional eye for design and creative detail
  • Demonstrated competency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comprehensive understanding of current trends in fashion and social media
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Can-do attitude & willingness to learn and work with others
